Mobile Home Parks

Mobile Home Parks

Mobile home parks provide an important source of affordable housing for about seven thousand Vermont households. Vermont law defines a mobile home park as having more than two mobile homes. The Department oversees the State's mobile home park law which was adopted to protect the safety and rights of owners and residents, and administers rules concerning mobile home park leases, rent increases, sale or closure of mobile home parks, and habitability standards, and conducts an annual registration of Vermont mobile home parks. The Department serves as a resource on mobile and manufactured homes and park issues.
