As part of a comprehensive response to Vermont’s housing affordability crisis, compounded by recent flooding, a Mobile Home Unit Task Team (MHU-TT) was assembled to oversee the Rapid Response Mobile Home Infill Program (MHIP) to jumpstart and fast-track Mobile Home lot improvement and home placement within participating Mobile Home Parks to foster affordable homeownership.

MHIP ELIGIBILITY
Income Eligible
- Homebuyer must be at or below 120% of Area Median Income (AMI)
- Check the table on this link to see if you are eligible:
Ability to Purchase Home
- Obtain Pre-Qualification from a financial lender
- Ability to finance a manufactured home unit within a park setting
- Buyer(s) must be able to purchase the home, which often requires employment, personal savings, and good credit
- Pay a $2,000 deposit as earnest money to put the home "Under Contract"
Primary Residence
- No second home or rental unit
Vermont Resident
- Must attest to living in Vermont at time of application
Park Owner Approval
- Homebuyer must be able to be accepted as a resident by the Park Owner
Preference
- Flood-impacted households
- First come, first serve
