The Housing Division partnered with the Vermont Landlord Association and Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) to put together translated / interpreted educational materials on fair housing, landlord-tenant laws, and landlord-tenant mediation services. This was paid for through federal funding for housing stability services. We are thrilled to be able to offer this critical information to our neighbors who are more proficient in other languages.
This page contains contributions from Vermont Legal Aid's Housing Discrimination Law Project (HDLP). HDLP works to stop housing discrimination and to protect Vermonters’ right to choose where they live. They represent individuals and organizations in court and before state agencies, housing authorities, municipal governments and the legislature. They also provide help, advice and limited legal services to people who believe they may have been discriminated against. This page also contains contributions from Vermont Human Rights Commission. The Commission goal is to promote full civil and human rights in Vermont. The Commission protects people from unlawful discrimination in housing, state government employment, and public accommodations, and takes housing discrimination complaints.
