The Vermont Department of Tourism & Marketing (VDTM) is constantly seeking out new and innovative ways to promote Vermont as an outstanding travel destination.
There are many ways to promote your business through VDTM’s efforts and through our partner programs. If you have questions about any of these programs, please contact Katharine Ingram at Katharine.Ingram@Vermont.gov.
Trip Planning Directory
Our online vacation planning tool featuring the largest searchable database of Vermont lodging, dining, attractions, recreation, and shopping, is searched thousands of times each month. Businesses looking to be added to the directory with a free basic listing should fill out this form. Businesses interested in an enhanced listing should email Megan Bullard at MBullard@vtchamber.com, from the Vermont Chamber of Commerce.
Statewide Events Calendar & Signature Events Program
Advertise your event on the statewide events calendar, which lives on VermontVacation.com, for free. Start loading your events to give them extra visibility. Events should showcase the unique character of Vermont.
Vermont’s Signature Events Program is awarded annually and celebrates the diversity of experiences for Vermonters and visitors alike to enjoy in the Green Mountain State. Signature events will be featured on the Vermont Vacation Events Calendar, highlighted in Vermont Tourism’s social stories and consumer newsletters, and featured in the Inspiration Guide.
The deadline to apply for the Vermont Signature Events program is December 1, 2024. Learn more about the program and submit an application.

Vermont Photography Submission
If you would like to extend visibility to your business, brand, organization, or association through our networks – we welcome the opportunity to help you do that. Please email Media@VermontVacation.com for more information.
Any photography uploaded that is accompanied with the Standard Release Form will be considered for use in VDTM paid advertising, social media, web, e-newsletters, and other marketing initiatives.
Familiarization (FAM) Tour Interest
Travel writers, influencers, and tour operators often contact the state in advance of planning a familiarization trip to Vermont. We provide them with a suggested itinerary for their stay and will also set up lodging, meals, and activities. If your business is interested in providing complimentary stays, meals, or experiences please let us know by contacting Katharine Ingram at Katharine.Ingram@vermont.gov.
Tell Us What’s New with Your Business
VDTM tries to stay up to date with what’s going on in communities and businesses around the state so that we can promote new offerings but we need your help to do that. Some examples of what we're looking for could be:
- A lodging property that was recently bought by new owners and has been completely renovated
- A cheese producer wins a national cheese competition, and they have a tasting room for visitors
- A local excursion company that adds a new tour offering
- A yearly event that has added a new section/ activity
To tell us what’s new, please fill out this form.
