Travel and Recreation Council

The Vermont Travel and Recreation Council (TRC) is an advisory council that is comprised of ten members from the private sector appointed by the Governor. This council shall advise the Secretary of the Agency of Commerce and Community Development, and the Secretary shall consult with the council on matters relating to state travel and recreation policy, state travel and recreation promotion programs, and other programs of the Department of Tourism and Marketing and assist the Secretary in the Agency's preparation of a long-term comprehensive state travel and recreation plan.

Vermont Housing Budget and Investment Report

The Housing Budget and Investment Report is an annual report created by the Department of Housing and Community Development and presented to the Vermont Legislature. The report describes the combined State and federal funds awarded or appropriated to Vermont agencies for housing, including housing development, assistance, and subsidies, as required by 24 V.S.A. § 4498

Research, Volunteer & Internship Opportunities

VAHC InternsVAHC has many projects for interested volunteers. We also host occasional teacher training sessions and educational programs for 4th-12th grade students. We are particularly interested in developing research projects with motivated undergraduate and graduate students. Our State Archaeologist is more than happy to provide guidance toward thesis and dissertation topics. VAHC occasionally sponsors paid and unpaid internships and opportunities for temporary employment.

Collections

 Vermont Archaeology Heritag Center CollectionsVAHC houses artifact collections and archival sources in secure, climate-controlled rooms. These collections are based on excavations, and analyses of archaeological sites and represent every county in the state and every major period of Vermont’s 13,000-year history.
