Governor Phil Scott Announces Launch of Vermont’s First Technology-Based Economic Development Program
The Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing has limited funding available for the sponsorship of certain activities, including events, content development, and visits by press, freelance writers, bloggers and/or influencers. Funding selections are made at the discretion of VDTM’s leadership and sponsorship review team, based on alignment with VDTM’s mission to support visitation to the state and the potential impact of the sponsored activity. Funding decisions are made on a rolling basis throughout the year, with applications reviewed monthly.
The State of Vermont's Department of Housing and Community Development has been allocated $1.5 million in Recovery Housing Program (RHP) funds from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The state received $753,000 for FY20, $791,652 for FY21 and $755,059 for FY22.
On March 30, 2020 the Federal CARES Act was signed to provide states with some relief to aid during the COVID-19 pandemic. The State of Vermont received $8,880,293 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-CV1, CDBG-CV2 and CDBG-CV3) funds through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Federal CARES Act which is administered by the Agency of Commerce and Community Development, Department of Housing and Community Development - Vermont Community Development Program. 70% of the CDBG-CV funding is required to serve low- and moderate-income persons.
