The State of Vermont's Department of Housing and Community Development has been allocated $3.2 million in Recovery Housing Program (RHP) funds from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The state received $753,000 for FY20, $791,652 for FY21, $755,059 for FY22 and $991,106 for FY23. These funds are intended to be used to address the need of transitional housing for people recovering from substance use disorder in the State.
Vermont Recovery Housing Program Action Plans
DHCD staff completed the action plan required, with input from other stakeholders and the Agency of Human Services, to receive the funds from HUD. The RHP Action Plan outlines priorities for the use of of these federal funds being provided to the State. For each allocation, an amendment is required to include that year's funding.
