The arts community in Vermont—artists, museums and historic sites, arts promoters and agents, writers, and performing arts companies and presenters—plays an essential role in the economy, cultural diversity and the quality of life of Vermonters.
Companies and organizations across the arts and cultural cluster employ upwards of 4,000 Vermonters across 3,279 businesses that contribute nearly $20M in direct state and local revenues. Working with the Vermont Arts Council and local organizations, the OCE seeks to identify and amplify efforts to support working artists in all media and processes to expand their enterprises. The OCE also supports the development of arts projects and organizations, from live-work studios to retail coops.
