A special birthday party will honor the Bennington Battle Monument on Saturday, August 20, from 2 to 5 p.m. Sponsored by the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation and the Friends of the Bennington Battle Monument, the celebration will mark the 125th anniversary of the dedication of the venerable Vermont landmark.

The list of participating Vermont farms has been finalized for next week's Open Farm Week 2016. In total, 100 farms throughout the state will open their barn doors and garden gates to the public for a behind‐the‐scenes look at Vermont's vibrant working landscape.

Returning to the Burlington Waterfront for the first time in a decade, Wings Over Vermont will perform free air shows to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Vermont Air National Guard. Put on by the Vermont National Guard Charitable Foundation, two free shows will take place Saturday, August 13, and Sunday, August 14.

After a ten-year hiatus, the Wings Over Vermont air show returns to Burlington’s Waterfront Park on August 13 and 14. Put on by the Vermont National Guard Charitable Foundation, the air show will feature military and vintage aircraft, as well as gliders and other light aircraft.
