A South Burlington-based computer hardware company, has received a Vermont Employment Growth Incentive Award by the Vermont Economic Progress Council and approval for a Vermont Training Program grant to support its expansion of facilities and new jobs in Vermont.

The Vermont Outdoor Recreation Economic Collaborative (VOREC) steering committee will host a series of public forums to gather input from Vermonters on how to leverage and strengthen the State’s outdoor recreation assets to grow the economy.

Bennington, Vt. – Governor Phil Scott today joined local, state and federal partners to announce a $1 million Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to the Town of Bennington. The federal grant will help redevelop the historic Putnam Block, which will include six properties and more than four acres, in downtown Bennington.

Governor Scott announced that Bennington’s NSK Steering Systems America Inc has received a $208,753 Vermont Training Program Grant from the Vermont Department of Economic Development. The grant will create a Manufacturing Center of Excellence that will broaden the capabilities of current and future employees.

The State of Vermont has launched a “Welcome” communications campaign in Canada to reassure Canadians that Vermont greatly values their friendship, tourism and trade. The campaign launch coincides with Canada Day on July 1 and includes 15-second and 30-second video spots in French that are running throughout Quebec.
