The Department of Economic Development held a webinar August 2, 2023, to discuss the details of the Business Emergency Gap Assistance Program (BEGAP), which launched the next day. The award calculation formula discussed in this webinar changed effective September 21, 2023. Those changes are retroactive and apply to all awardees past, present, and future. Learn more about them here.

Watch this webinar for details about the $20,000,000 BEGAP grant program that provides emergency bridge grants to nonprofits and businesses that suffered physical damage during the July flood events. Webinar: FEMA & the SBA During a Disaster Response

The Agency of Commerce and Community Development (ACCD) will host a webinar to help regional partners and businesses understand the roles FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in an emergency disaster.

“FEMA & the SBA During a Disaster Response” will be held Friday, July 21 at 4:00pm. This webinar is intended to help businesses and nonprofits better understand what FEMA and the SBA do (and don’t do), how they do it, and how best to work with them to help your flood damaged organization.

Joining the webinar will be representatives from FEMA, the SBA Disaster Team, the Vermont SBA, and the Vermont Small Business Development Center. After talking about the kind of help they provide, they will also answer questions.
