Rapid Response Mobile Home Infill Program (MHIP)

As part of a comprehensive response to Vermont’s housing affordability crisis, compounded by recent flooding, a Mobile Home Unit Task Team (MHU-TT) was assembled to oversee the Rapid Response Mobile Home Infill Program (MHIP) to jumpstart and fast-track Mobile Home lot improvement and home placement within participating Mobile Home Parks to foster affordable homeownership. New homes available for purchase. Registration is open.

MHIP ELIGIBILITY

Income Eligible

  • Homebuyer must be at or below 140% of Area Median Income (AMI)
  • Check the table on this link to see if you are eligible:

Ability to Purchase Home

  • Obtain Pre-Qualification from a financial lender
  • Ability to finance a manufactured home unit within a park setting
  • Buyer(s) must be able to purchase the home, which often requires employment, personal savings, and good credit
  • Pay a $2,000 deposit as earnest money to put the home "Under Contract"

Primary Residence

  • No second home or rental unit

Live or Work in Vermont

  • Must attest to living or working in Vermont at time of application

Park Owner Approval

  • Homebuyer must be able to be accepted as a resident by the Park Owner

Preference

  • Flood-impacted households
  • First come, first serve
