Biography

Thaddeus "Thad" Richardson, is a lifetime Vermonter. Thad has over twenty years’ experience in the financial services industry. Following several years with Bombardier Capital in Colchester, he moved to the Northeast Kingdom to start a family, working with Community National Bank from 2005-2020 as VP Municipal Services & Asset Liability Management. In 2020 Thad became the Chief Financial Officer at the Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA), leading the financial operations of the $300 million lending institution.

Education includes BS in accounting from Castleton University, and MBA from Clarkson University.

Non-profit activities currently include Vice Chair for Northeastern VT Regional Hospital, past Board Chair and Treasurer of Northern Counties Health Care, a federally qualified health center and home health agency in the NEK, Treasurer for Northeast Kingdom Human Services, the designated mental health agency of the NEK, and Trustee at Lyndon Institute, an independent secondary school serving both local and international students. Thad also volunteers as a coach for his two daughters' various sports teams.
