Preparing for a Matchmaker and Learn to Write a Professional Capability Statement

MONTPELIER, VT – Vermont businesses are invited to attend the 2019 New England Region Matchmaker on April 25-26, 2019 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Portland, Maine. Matchmakers are a unique opportunity for small businesses to connect with federal, state, local government agencies, and large prime contractors. The Vermont Procurement Technical Assistance Center (VT PTAC) will be on site to offer assistance. “By attending matchmaker events, businesses make substantial connections that typically lead to successful government contracting careers.”, said VT PTAC director, Joanne Spaulding.

VT PTAC will be hosting two workshops on Thursday, April 11, 2019 in Randolph, Vermont to help businesses prepare for the Maine Matchmaker:

Can you successfully showcase your company’s expertise in 10 minutes? This interactive workshop will guide you through the steps to positively impact your relationship with prospective government buyers and how to use tools to spot the right contracts for your business. Includes a presentation by the Small Business Administration (SBA).

Thursday, April 11, 2019, 10:00am - 12:00pm
1540 Vermont Route 66, Randolph, VT 05060

A Capability Statement is an advertising document tailored to the government marketplace that demonstrates that your company is prepared for government contracting and is the best choice to provide the product or service sought. By the end of the workshop, you will have developed a draft of a capability statement for your business!

Thursday, April 11, 2019, 1:00pm - 3:00pm
