Vermont's mobile home parks provide an important source of affordable housing for approximately 7,000 Vermont families. The Department enforces the State's mobile home park law which is designed to protect the safety and rights of owners and residents. It has adopted rules concerning mobile home park leases, rent increases, sale or closure of mobile home parks, and habitability standards, and conducts an annual registration of Vermont mobile home parks. The department serves as a resource on mobile home and park issues.
