Mining for Opportunities in Government Contracting
Do you know the rules of the yard you are playing in?
MONTPELIER, VT – Marketing your business to any level of government is about building relationships and understanding the rules of the yard you are playing in. Who is buying? Who is selling? What is selling? What are the projections for future work? The answers to these questions will best prepare you for success in government contracting. This free workshop presented by the Vermont Procurement Technical Assistance Center (VT PTAC) on November 6, 2019 in Randolph, Vermont will explore a variety of tools and strategies to find these answers and better compete before and after Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Quotation (RFQs) hit the street.
Procurement counselor and presenter Ed Williams believes that small businesses will find value in this training and the diverse methods that will be explored. He added, “In addition to finding answers to the discovery questions, we will cover action items including connecting with government agencies, prime contractors, manufacturers and distributors to shape solicitations, develop partnerships and sales opportunities.”

About the Vermont Procurement Technical Assistance Center: VT PTAC provides Vermont businesses with an understanding of the requirements of government contracting to obtain and successfully perform federal, state, and local contracts through free counseling services, training, and networking opportunities.
