From 1981-2022, Mark Nicholson was VP and Founding Partner of NICOM Coatings Corp. A successful waterproofing contractor based out of Berlin VT, NICOM has over 80 employees working on highway, bridge and building projects in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts.
Nicholson currently co-owns and co-manages the Blanchard Block, a 40,000 sf office/retail property in down town Barre. Mark took part in the historic restoration of this building.
Nicholson also owns and manages several other commercial properties in Vermont and New Hampshire, including an 85 unit self-storage business in Danville VT.
Previously, Nicholson owned and operated Star Cleaners, a dry cleaner, laundromat and car wash located in Montpelier, as well as several apartment buildings with 30 units located in Barre and was a Project Manager for Chapman Waterproofing in Boston MA.
Mark is a director of the Central VT Economic Development Corp. where he also served as their President. He is also on the Town of Danville Planning Commission. Nicholson is a former member of the Central VT Regional Planning Commission as well as Past President and Director of the Associated General Contractors Of VT.
Mark attended the University of Vermont in 1975, pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
