The following organizations and resources are available to assist communities in their response to COVID-19.
Front Porch Forum
Front Porch Forum is an essential resource for staying informed, giving and getting help, and combating isolation during this crisis. Membership is free, and hundreds of thousands of Vermonters already participate daily.
Public Wi-Fi Hot Spot Map
The PSD has developed a map of libraries, local and state buildings, and schools offering free, open Wi-Fi internet access. The map includes the location of the Wi-Fi hot spots and how to access them, including places where users can access Wi-Fi from outside the building or in a parked vehicle to encourage social distancing. Vermonters are encouraged to send additional information about free Wi-Fi hot spots to psd.telecom@vermont.gov.
Translated Guidance for Vermonters
A fact sheet, translated into nine languages, has been added to Department of Health website under “Translated Materials.” The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants in Vermont has also posted a new series of COVID-19 videos in several languages.
